How does the MBA program rank globally?

Our MBA ranking places our University in the top 200 (151-200th) globally and in the top 10 in Australia, according to QS Rankings by Subject 2021. In the QS Graduate Employability Rankings 2022, we have moved up four places to first on the graduate employment rate in Australia, and we were ranked 18th in Asia Pacific and 43rd globally for this key area.

I donât have university qualifications or a bachelorâs degree. Can I still apply for this program?

If you do not have a university qualification or bachelorâs degree, you may be eligible to apply for the Master of Business Administration by completing the RMIT Onlineâs Graduate Certificate in Business Administration, Graduate Certificate in Leadership, Graduate Certificate in Sustainable Enterprise or Graduate Certificate in People Analytics. To gain entry into these graduate certificates, you must have a minimum of five years full-time equivalent work experience. Applicants will be required to submit a curriculum vitae (CV).

How long will it take me to complete my program?

Our part-time online Master of Business Administration program allows for completion in 2.7 years, with a maximum timeframe of five years to accommodate deferrals or extended study needs. If you choose to extend your studies, applying for a leave of absence and submitting a new application may be necessary. However, you can still earn credits for previously completed coursework, reducing the time required to finish your MBA.

Entry Requirements

At RMIT Online, we understand that everyone’s journey is unique, so we’ve designed flexible and supportive pathways to help you gain entry to our MBA and fast-track your way to unlocking work opportunities and building a future you desire.

Pathway One – Relevant Work Experience

Pathway Two – Complete RMIT Graduate Certificate

Pathway Three – Completed Bachelors

Have the equivalent of two or more years full-time work experience.

Credit will be assessed consistently with the RMIT University credit policy and procedures. Please refer to   Credit for prior study or experience.

If you have completed any of the listed RMIT Graduate Certificates, you can gain entry into the MBA with 4 (four) courses credit.

Extra credit can also utilised by combining this pathway with Pathway One. Please refer to Credit for prior study or experience for more information.

Have completed the equivalent of an Australian bachelor degree^† or higher-level qualification (in any discipline), and have held a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 1.0 (Out of 4.0) or GMAT overall minimum score of 550.

If your Australian bachelor degree^† is in business (or a related discipline) you will be exempt from completing 4 (four) courses. You must complete an additional 12 (twelve) courses to qualify for the Masters degree.
