Flexible entry and exit points

Our Master of Business Administration online encompasses courses that make up the Graduate Certificate in Business Administration, Graduate Certificate in Leadership, Graduate Certificate in Sustainable Enterprise or Graduate Certificate in People Analytics. Should you need to exit the online MBA early, you will still have earned a postgraduate qualification based on the courses you have completed.

RMIT Online MBA students must meet minimum academic requirements, and international students must have a proficient level of English. You can find more details below.

Advanced Standing

 

12 course Master of Business Administration

  • An Australian bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), or higher-level qualification, in a business or related discipline from a recognised tertiary institution, with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 1.0 (out of 4.0)* 

OR

  • An Australian bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or higher-level qualification in a business or related discipline from a recognised tertiary institution and a GMAT overall minimum score of 550*

OR

  • An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) or higher-level qualification from a recognised tertiary institution in any discipline, with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 1.0 (out of 4.0)* plus a minimum of two years’ relevant work experience.

OR

  • The RMIT Online Graduate Certificate in Business Administration, Graduate Certificate in Leadership, Graduate Certificate in Sustainable Enterprise or Graduate Certificate in People Analytics**.

16 course Master of Business Administration

  • An Australian bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or higher-level qualification in any discipline from a recognised tertiary institution, with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 1.0 (out of 4.0). 

OR

  • An Australian bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or higher-level qualification in any discipline from a recognised tertiary institution and a Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) overall minimum score of 550.

We offer Recognition of Prior Learning, or the recognition of previous study or learning. This means you can apply for credit and reduce the number of courses you need to complete. Your application will be decided on a case-by-case basis. RMIT aims to grant as much credit as possible at the time of offer, so it’s important to provide as much evidence of prior study or work experience as possible with your application. Speak to our Enrolment Advisors to find out more. 

*If your qualification was completed more than 10 years ago, you will need to provide evidence of ongoing professional work and/or professional development in the same discipline as the program for which you are seeking entry.  
**Upon successful completion of the graduate certificate, you will have the opportunity to progress to the master’s degree.

RMIT assesses each student’s prior learning, qualifications and professional experience to provide custom pathways so you can complete your online postgraduate degree sooner. Gain credit for your relevant work experience and graduate even sooner with Advanced Standing. Your application will be decided on a case-by-case basis. RMIT aims to grant as much credit as possible at the time of offer, so it’s important to provide as much evidence of prior study or work experience as possible with your application. 

Depending on advanced standing granted, you could complete your MBA online in as little as 16 months, part-time.
