Program overview

The business landscape is changing. The path to success is changing, too. Getting ahead and staying relevant in this new business world needs a new kind of thinking. To realise your potential, you need a new kind of MBA.

The globally recognised*, now accelerated online program leverages RMIT’s strengths in technology, innovation and design without compromising on traditional MBA areas of study such as leadership, strategy and cross-functional management. It offers electives and concentrations covering the latest advances in technology, digital trends, design thinking methodologies and authentic leadership informed by leading industry experts and world-class academics.

The RMIT online MBA isn’t just about thinking different, it’s about making different happen. In an increasingly uncertain world that is challenged by the complexities of Industry 4.0, the program encourages you to learn how to think on your feet and act on your thoughts.

Tailor your MBA degree through concentrations

Choose electives from four concentration areas that align with industry demand. Unlike more traditional MBAs in Australia, you can tailor your degree to an area you’re passionate about and grow your leadership capabilities.

Gain knowledge, build networks

The highly social, online learning platform not only gives you access to current, industry-informed content but also connects you with academics and students across time zones. Build strong, business relationships that know no limits.

Enrolment intakes every two months

Study in any one of our six teaching periods each year. You only study one course at a time across each seven-week study period, meaning your learning is consolidated, focused and fast-paced.

Entry requirements

Australian bachelor degree or equivalent in business (or a related discipline); or

Australian bachelor degree or equivalent in a non-cognate discipline, plus at least three years full-time equivalent management experience with supervisory responsibilities (applicants will be required to submit a CV); or

Australian postgraduate qualification degree or equivalent in business (or a related discipline); or

Successful completion of the RMIT Graduate Certificate in Business Administration.

Applicants with a degree in a non-business related discipline need to apply for the Graduate Certificate in Business Administration to complete the online MBA degree in two years, intensive part-time mode.

Early exit option
Our Master of Business Administration online encompasses courses that make up our Graduate Certificate, so should you need to exit the online MBA early, you still have earned a postgraduate qualification.
Australian Student Visas

RMIT's online MBA does not meet Australian student visa requirements. For an Australian student visa, you must have an on-campus place in a program of study. For more details on RMIT's on-campus programs, visit rmit.edu.au.
